I'd taken a ten day trip on Mermaid I through the Similan Islands, Richelieu Rock, and the Mermaid Archipelago. My experience was excellent
- the boat was well designed and very comfortable. Even though it was nearly at capacity, it never really felt crowded
- the boat crew and dive staff were first class and attentive
- there was a nice group on the boat, though it seems to cater more towards passengers in middle age or older, but that could be linked to the expense of getting there
- catering was good, and they even had a proper coffee maker rather than the usual instant coffee one gets on liveaboards
- the diving was great. only downside is no sharks !
