Views of/near
Carreg Cannen Castle, which has spectacular vistas over the surrounding valleys. It must have been a nightmare to try to storm the place up the hill on one side, and impossible to climb up the cliffs around the others. Yet apparently, the castle did fall a few times despite the natural defenses. Deliveries must have been a nightmare.
In Llandeilo, one of the locals had explained he knows a way to sneak in to the castle to avoid paying the entrance fee. By going up the cliff face. He was quite drunk at the time, and I wonder whether taking him there to demonstrate would constitute aiding and abetting suicide.
