Beagle Channel day cruise

I started off my trip in Argentina on Tierra del Fuego. The first drama is of course that my baggage hadn't arrived (45 connection in Rome before the once-daily flight to BA is not a good idea, especially when the CDG->FCO flight is 45 minutes late). So having visited the shops in Ushuaia to stock up on warm clothes (highly recommended if you do this cruise, it is cold and windy on the boat, which is open out to sea), I took this day trip to Isola H (where you get off to walk for about an hour and a half) and first passes by this island.

It's a sail boat, and it's really quite peaceful on the channel itself, even with the strong wind and chop. I did come back with all my outer clothes covered in salt. This is the Tres Marias tour, which is the only one that goes to Isola H

This island is in the middle of the Channel between Argentina and Chile and there are both sea lions and cormorants (which look like flying penguins from a distance).

Looking at those sea lions climbing up the wall makes me feel like my daily commute isn't quite so bad.
